Adriatic Insurance Company was incorporated on June 12, 1979 under the laws of Delaware and began writing business on April 15, 1980. Effective October 1, 1992 the Company redomesticated to North Dakota.
Adriatic specializes in writing commercial automobile physical damage coverage primarily for local and long-haul trucking, taxicabs and limos, and special automobile risks. They also write broad form motor truck cargo, maximum limits $100,000. Physical damage includes most vehicles as mentioned above along with coal haulers, sand & gravel, and other hard to place risks. Adriatic does not provide coverage for the tour bus class.

American Southern began business in March, 1937, operating under the corporate name of Southern Fire and Marine Insurance Company until 1953, when the present name was adopted. American Southern specializes in writing in commercial automobile liability, auto physical damage, and general liability programs through retail agents as well as managing general agents like GLGA.
CAROLINA CASUALTY INSURANCE COMPANY - A.M. Best's Rating: A+ (Superior)
CCIC has specialized in writing liability, physical damage and motor truck cargo for the nation's transportation industry since 1952. CCIC also provides liability and physical damage for various classes of business and public auto including contractor fleets, waste haulers, dump trucks, limousines and airport shuttle vans.
CCIC's claims department is staffed with experienced liability, cargo, and heavy equipment physical damage specialists to provide the best professional claims service possible. The company provides 24 hour access to an adjuster for those claims which occur after normal business hours.

Eastern Atlantic Insurance Company is based in Harrisburg, PA and provides commercial auto liability and physical damage, motor truck cargo, and surety bond coverage on a direct basis. EAIC was incorporated in 1985 and commenced operations in October of 1986. EAIC possesses a strong management team with expertise in the niche market of commercial auto liability.
MAXUM SPECIALTY INSURANCE GROUP - A.M. Best's Rating: A- (Excellent)

In 1979, Empire was acquired by the Zurich Financial Services Group. In the mid-80s, Empire started up a direct sales division and began marketing to the independent auto and auto rental industry. Empire adopted the Zurich name on May 17, 2004.
Zurich provides coverages for a variety of commercial trucking businesses. As a wholesale distributor of this program, it is offered exclusively to partnering General Agents like GLGA.
